VA Staff Anesthesiologist $330K-$360K | Martinsburg WV

Position Overview

Join the Martinsburg Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) as a Staff Anesthesiologist providing comprehensive perioperative care, anesthesia, pain management, and critical care to Veterans. Board certification by the American Board of Anesthesia is required. Supervise CRNAs, anesthesia residents, and students in a supportive VA environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct preoperative assessments, optimization, and informed consent.
• Administer general, regional, neuraxial, MAC, and sedation anesthesia.
• Manage intraoperative care, airway, invasive monitoring, fluids, and hemodynamics.
• Provide post-anesthesia care, postoperative pain management (epidurals, blocks, PCA).
• Handle critical care, emergencies, ACLS, and outside OR anesthesia (endoscopy, IR, cath lab).
• Perform acute/chronic pain evaluations and interventions.

Qualifications

• Board Certified by American Board of Anesthesia.
• U.S. Citizenship preferred; full/unrestricted medical license.
• Doctor of Medicine or equivalent from accredited institution.
• Proficient in English; pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $330,000 - $360,000 per year + performance bonus.
• Recruitment Incentive: Authorized.
• PTO: 50-55 days/year (26 annual, 13 sick, 11 federal holidays + 5 CME days).
